Update: Utter Typhoolery
It seems I spoke a tad too hastely. Although the typhoon has officially passed away, its remains have stalled over the island. As a result, we have seen some stiff winds and 6 inches of rain in the last fifteen hours, most of that falling when we walked to church. 6 inches sounds like a lot, but I'm pretty sure double that fell during the tropical storm.

Depends. I'm pretty sure enriching the lives of children (especially when it involves reforming their hellish behavior) has me oozing karmic merit, so I should be able to take a hit every now and again.
